VASE PM TRESSAGE

Bamboo, banana, coconut leaves, from the Caribbean to Indonesia via Madagascar, the weaving of these leaves is a true art of basketry. An ancestral know-how requiring only fresh leaves and excellent dexterity, it is used on a daily basis through baskets, baskets, hats, fences and decoration. The Daum creation workshop explores this custom by adapting it to the modeling technique. The strips of earth were woven and then reshaped into vases and cups. Leaves of different species cross, mingle, and still slender with their freshness create baskets in which to place cut flowers or just-harvested fruits. To recall the exoticism of the islands where braiding is still customary, these vanilla flowers decorate and perfect these works of patience and beauty.
