LANGUEDOC PETIT MODELE VASE IN GREEN
The Languedoc vase takes us to the land of the same name. Between sea and mountains, this region of the South of France bathed in sunshine presents multiple landscapes: large wild spaces, scrubland, ancient massifs and deep gorges. A land that is sometimes harsh but whose authenticity has inspired many artists including René Lalique who created in 1929 this vase with accentuated relief and generous proportions. Sculpted from repolished satin crystal, cactus leaves are superimposed in a play of graphic repetition.
