It looks soft, yet it's glass. The optical illusion of VENINI's Monofiori from 1970 is in its name: Balloton, the unique process that recreates the matelassé effect on the surface. Vase in blown glass worked with the "Balloton" technique to obtain a particular optical effect. It is based on the use of a metal mold inside the small square-based pyramid tips which, during blowing, gives the object a cross-relief effect.
